The Mission of the Greater Washington Chapter of Delaware State University Alumni Association is to increase alumni involvement and consciousness in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area; while supporting the efforts of the national organization by recruiting students, awarding scholarships, fundraising and being the local point of contact for the promotion and growth of Delaware State University. We meet monthly from September to June, usually on the third Saturday of each month.

Past Events
Scholarship Fundraisers
The Greater Washington Chapter provides a scholarship each year for students from the Washington, DC, Metropolitain area. Several events are held throughout the year to raise scholarship funds including the annual Crab Feast pictured on the right.
College Fairs
The Greater Washington Chapter volunteers at college fairs throughout the area to represent the University.
Community Service
The Greater Washington Chapter routinely volunteers to give back to the community. Pictured are volunteers at the Capital Area Food Bank.

DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance
The Greater Washington Chapter partners with the DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance on several events throughout the year, including the HBCU 5K Walk/Run event.
