Students currently enrolled at Delaware State University (DSU) are invited to apply for the DSUAA Greater Washington Chapter Scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to support and encourage a student who exemplifies academic excellence. The scholarship will offer a financial award which can be applied towards the student's educational expenses (tuition, supplies, or room and board). There will be two scholarship recipients each awarded $1,000.00.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled at Delaware State University.
- Must have a 2.5 Grade Point Average (or higher).
- Must provide a copy of your transcript upon request.
- Demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
- Be a resident of District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- Must answer the essay questions (250 words or less).
The following attachments must be submitted with the scholarship application. All attachments must be in docx, or pdf format.
- DSU Transcript
- Course schedule for upcoming semester
- DSU Account Statement (most recent)
- Proof of residency (picture identification)
- Essay (In 250 words or less response to one of the following questions: 1) Discuss your need for financial assistance. 2) Describe how this scholarship will assist with your academic and career goals.
All supporting documents received from applicants must include name and student ID number.
All scholarship applications must be received by Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, at 11:59PM. The scholarship winners will be announced on Friday, December 29th, 2023.
